During my History of Computer Games and Art class, I was tasked with creating concept art for a mock game pitch with my classmate, Michael Kirby. We created the pitch for a 2D side-scroller & metroidvania game called Candlelit. I was tasked with creating the character and monster design, as well as creating mock screenshot for the game.

When it came to the design for the game, I wanted to create a game that had stark contrasts in the "warm and cold". I used a very cool color palette of purples and blues to give an idea of the location being dead and uninviting, yet mysterious to the player. This was to help the main character stand out to the player, as they were made of entirely warm colors in comparison.
